CASCADE-FELLOWS is an exciting new international fellowship programme for talented young researchers in Life Sciences. Between April 2013 and March 2018, with support from the EU's Marie Curie Actions, we will support over 90 Fellowships across the globe  to help build the careers of future academic leaders in the field.

'Life Sciences' can include any the following areas:

  • Bioenergetics          
  • Biological membranes
  • Biomedicine, Public Health & Epidemiology
  • Cancer Research
  • Cell Biology
  • Computational Biology and Bioinformatics
  • Developmental Biology
  • Enzymology
  • Genetic Engineering
  • Genomics and General Genetics
  • Immunology
  • Macromolecular Structures and Molecular Biophysics
  • Medical Pathology
  • Metabolic Regulation and Signal Transduction
  • Metabolism of Cellular Macromolecules
  • Microbiology and Parasitology
  • Neurosciences (including Pyschiatry and Clinical Psychology)
  • Pharmacology and Toxicology
  • Physiology
  • Virology
  • Other Life Sciences (this includes areas such as Mental Health. If unsure please ask us)

The programme is open to all nationalities (eligibility rules about mobility apply: if you are a non-EU or Associated Country resident you can only apply for a Fellowship in an EU or Associated Country) and is cofunded by the EU through FP7 Marie Curie Actions - People, Co-funding of Regional, National and International Programmes (COFUND). It runs from 1 April 2013 to 31 March 2018.
